Is Algae Good For You?

If you are among the few who are into health foods you may have already heard of Sun Chlorella, the all natural supplement for your body. Sun Chlorella, the single celled freshwater natural food derived from green algae, is a super food which provides a rich source of antioxidants that help boost your immune system.

You might be thinking, so what? In this age of fast foods, cigarettes and huge amounts of stress, we put our bodies through such changes that it struggles to survive. Exercise and a proper diet may get you back on track, but scientist found that by adding chlorophyll to your diet, you can add years to your life while correcting some of the damage that has been done.

So what is Sun Chlorella? Chlorella is a strain of green algae that grows in fresh water. This ‘Super food’ has been around for over 540 million years as the first form of plant life with a well-defined nucleus. This algae has been discovered to be packed with vitamins and antioxidants like vitamin A, C, B1, B2, B6, niacin, folic acid, B12, choline, and minerals like phosphorus, calcium, zinc, magnesium, iron and omega fatty acids, just to name a few.

Chlorella contains Chlorophyll a powerful cleansing and purifying agent in nature. It detoxifies the liver and bloodstream, cleanses the bowel, and reduces the acid levels in your body. It also contains Beta-carotene necessary for the growth and repair of body tissue, protection against air pollutants, and reducing susceptibility to germs.

There have been numerous studies on Chlorella.

Dr. Randall E. Merchant, professor Neurosurgery from Virginia Commonwealth University, has been studying chlorella for 20 years, and he concluded that Chlorella helps support healthy blood pressure, and delays type ll diabetes, and has show improvements in Colitis.

A study at the Center for Education and Research on ageing found that reducing the intake of whole foods and supplementing a diet with Sun Chlorella can reduce ageing and lower mortality.

The Blue Mountain Eye study on age related eye disease show positive results in preventing eye problems when taking Chlorella with a combination of vitamin C.

A Japanese study published in the Journal of Medicinal Foods found that women who took Chlorella during pregnancy have a higher concentration of antibodies in their breast milk. New research also from Japan shows that Chlorella can reduce body fat, blood glucose levels, boost energy, aids digestion, fights depression and improves symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

Chlorella is a single-cell green sea algae that is very beneficial to the skin and body. The reason why chlorella helps the skin so much is because it has high levels of skin-benefiting vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids. When these ingredients are combined they help to detoxify skin cells, resulting in healthy beautiful skin.

Experiments have shown that chlorella normalizes blood sugar in hypoglycemia patience. In hypoglycemia, blood sugar is too low, while in diabetes, blood sugar is too high. Proper levels of blood sugar are necessary for normal brain and heart function which are crucial in sustaining good health and beneficial effects problem.

Chlorella is safe for most people to take; but one exception seems to be those who are prescribed warfarin. This is because chlorella contains vitamin K1, which is important in helping blood clotting – the very opposite of warfarin, which acts as an anticoagulant.

The Sun Chlorella Corporation is located in Kyoto, Japan, and prides itself in the highest quality of production of their products. They have received the prestigious Monde Award for Quality.

"We are honored to be the recipient of such a prestigious award,

which reaffirms the premium level of quality that Sun Chlorella

products have maintained for nearly 40 years,” said Yoshihito

Nishimaki, President and CEO of Sun Chlorella USA.

I decided to write this article because in my quest for finding a good vitamin to help me detoxify from smoking and boost my energy level, I remembered Sun Chlorella, which I took years ago to help with my hypoglycemia. After the first month of taking it I noticed that I had more energy, my skin was not as dry, and I felt much healthier in general. I’m back to taking it again, and have noticed a significant change already. It is a natural super powered simple way of packing all the nutrients in one little pill. Everything should be this easy.

Jiberish, micronutriets are very important for all bodily processes and maintining a healthy immune system. It sounds like Sun Chlorellae should be much better than the chemically produced substitutes.

Thanks jiberish. I've been looking for something like this for awhile, a natural supplement that acts like a multivitamin. It sounds even more effective.

Jib.this sounds like another snake oil . I am not making fun of you or this product so let's suppose that it is everything you say it is . Perhaps , I should say it is everything the manufacturers says it is . Now we have a product that will offer older people an opportunity to live longer and healthier lives . I would suggest that you share this information with all our Congress and senators before they waste a trillion dollars on their Obamacare fiasco . With such a marvelous cure all for many of Americans health problems so readily available at a fraction of the cost of Obamacare it appears to me this could solve our health care dilemma . I simply want to say if it is so good why not try this before we blow our economy on another government waste program . What a wonderful solution ! Of course we must consider the possible economic blow this would be to hour prescription drug manufacturers . imagine eliminating the need for all or most prescription drugs . WOW! I guess you just can't win someone wins someone loses . Congratulations Jib, without realizing it you could save the jobs of all our current congressmen and senators by bringing this to their attention . Thanks Jib, for this healthy and refreshing Hub!

Great informative hub as usual but one question; where’s the part where we get to bash Obama?

greatAmerican profile image

greatAmerican 2 years ago

Hey, partisan, why not bash him for not redistributing

Sun Chlorella so all Americans can benefit from it.. Why should only the rich,, like Jib,, (kidding you Jib),,,

have access to Sun chlorella?? Something this good needs to be available to all, not just the rich..

Smile folks the Great American has just gone over the edge!!

VR, no, I don't sell it, I'm just a consumer.

jiberish profile image

jiberish Hub Author 2 years ago

Great, I'm a genius, I know. :) From all I have read, it really doesn't cure anything as much as it prevents it. But heck for a fraction of the cost of health care, I'm up for using it. It's like anything else, it's mind over matter, and these days it's hard to find something to believe in.

I am intrigued! I'm going to ask my doctor about this (she supports natural supplements and always offers natural alternatives instead of just prescribing pills right away)! I've never heard of this - but I have now thanks to your VERY informative Hub! Thanks lady - no wonder you look so terrific!

Thanks for bringing this up. I must look into this in more detail. I am pre-diabetic (usually Ok but 1 out 3 shows me out of normal range.) and would like to see if this helps. T
