Summer Vacation in Ponte Vedra Florida

Ponte Vedra is beautiful place to take the family for a summer vacation. Located on the east coast of Florida on A1A, the beaches span for hundreds of miles from Jacksonville to the Florida Keys. Ponte Vedra is well known for its quiet beaches, great restaurants and ample golfing. Rental homes range in price and accommodations, from one bedroom to homes that can sleep several families. Prices range from the affordable to the extravagant, but the time you will spend on the beautiful beaches will be worth every penny. Ponte Vedra Homeowners rent out their homes by the day, week or month.

For the past two years our family and friends have spend a week in August in a lavish home only a few feet from the beach. The home was beautifully decorated with all the amenities right down to towels and toothpaste. This particular 3 story home had 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. Balconies on every floor, flat screen TV’s in every room, hot tub, and surf boards.

To wake up in the morning to hear the surf and to watch the sun rise from the balcony is worth every penny we paid for the week. It is more than a holiday when family and friends can spend time together; we all look forward to this special week of vacation. The children and grand children love to swim all day, while the adults indulge in adult beverages and prepare great food for the grill.

Fun places for day trips include the oldest town in Florida, St. Augustine, or Marine Land which are only a few minutes drive. We took lots of pictures, and we are all looking forward to next year.
