Soros's Web

In my previous article, I examined the philosophies and agenda of the perfect world of George Soros. His association with this, and previous administrations are proof that he has been and continues to be involved with the direction of this country.

Be it his love of power or money, or just the game of investing, his Open Society Institute and Soros Fund Management LLC and the other 527 groups are reaching far into the cornerstone of this country making it questionable as to who actually is running this administration. His influence among Democrats is widespread and enduring (and was well-documented by David Horowitz and Richard Poe in their book, The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party)

So who benefits by the Soros Funds, who are they, and how do they effect Obama’s policies?

On Israel:

In a New York times article Soros answers the question about Moveon.org?

How much money, roughly, did you contribute to MoveOn.org and other anti-Bush groups during the last presidential campaign?

Something like $27.5 million. It's a lot of money, but the annual budget for my foundation is about $400 million

These days, you also seem down on Israel.

I am very critical of Israel, but since I don't live there, I don't feel that I should be particularly vocal in my criticisms.

In a piece from the American thinker, Ed Lasky writes:

Soros is notorious for being anti-Israel, he stepped back from public involvement. But he certainly has people who are beholden to him in key positions on J Street's advisory council. J Street, the heavily Soros funded 527 group has an arm that raises campaign money for candidates, is skilled at public relations and using the internet to generate support, chants the change mantra, and even uses such campaign tactics as phony push-polls to promote its views. It is not just promoting its views, it is promoting President Obama's as well, and is working within the Jewish community to “peel away support for the American-Israel relationship.” Rabbi Eric Yoffie is president of the Union for Reform Judaism, and is a very liberal fellow. Yet even for him, J Street’s campaign to undermine and discredit Israeli self-defense has gone too far. For a further understanding of the conflict please read:

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/pollak/48751

On Health: When Michelle Obama was employed by the University of Chicago Hospitals, she recommended the hospital hire David Axelrod’s firm, AKD public Strategies, to ensure community support for a plan to dump patients who were unlikely to be able to pay the hospital for medical services onto other hospitals. This was Mrs. Obama’s “Urban Health Initiative” (1984 euphemism).

Health Care for America Now! (HCAN): “national grassroots campaign of more than 1,000 organizations in 46 states representing 30 million people dedicated to winning quality, affordable health care.” Most of its component organizations have two things in common: they have no experience or expertise in health care, and virtually all received large, tax-exempt grants from far-Left billionaires like George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry. Like the “grassroots” movement for campaign finance reform a decade ago, the public demonstrations for health care reform are largely a Soros-financed operation.

HCAN steering committee includes: AFL-CIO, Acorn, Moveon.org., NAACP, National Council of La Raza, Nea and many others. Click here to get other organizations listed by state.

Among the 21 members of its steering committee are ACORN, MoveOn.org, and the Center for American Progress. . CAP, headed by former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta, was created with Soros’ money as a counterweight to the Heritage Foundation. In 2007 alone, Soros’ gave CAP $1.75 million in 2007 and approved additional grants totaling $1.25 million.

Children’s Defense Fund (CDF): The CDF Action Council is a member of the HCAN steering committee. CDF founder Marian Wright Edelman once admitted she got nowhere pushing a left-wing message until “I got the idea that children might be a very effective way to broaden the base for change.” Hiding behind “the children,” her undisguised Sixties radicalism still shines through. In her 1987 book Families in Peril, she wrote, “We must curb the fanatical military weasel.”

Numerous ‘secondary’ or’ indirect’ affiliates of the Soros Network which are helping to promote the Soros/Obama agenda:

Diversity Czar, Mark Lloyd, who has suggested “white people” step down from positions of power to allow “more people of color, gays” and “other people” to take those positions. He was also a senior fellow at the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress and has worked as a reporter and producer at NBC and CNN.

Frontpage magazine: David Horowitz:

At the time of his appointment as the President’s “Green Jobs” czar – and despite a very recent 10-year history of “revolutionary” activity – Jones was a member of two key organizations at the very heart of what might be called the executive branch of the Democratic Party. The first is the Center for American Progress which was funded by Soros and is headed by Podesta. The second is the Apollo Alliance, on whose board Jones sits with Podesta, Carol Browner and Al Gore’’

Service Employees International Union: The current President of SEIU is the former New Leftist Andrew Stern, who sat on the Executive Committee of the Soros-created America Coming Together. ACT ceased operations later in 2005.

In August 2007, Politico.com reported that the Federal Election Commission (FEC) was fining ACT some $775,000 for having used unregulated soft money to help John Kerry and other Democratic candidates in 2004. The FEC determined that most of the $137 million ACT had raised for its get-out-the-vote effort that year, was derived from contributions that violated federal limits. The settlement was the third largest enforcement penalty in the FEC’s 33-year history.

Air America Radio: Funded by Democracy Alliance, which is heavily bankrolled by Soros, this radio station was created to advance the cause of the Democratic Party and the political Left.

Media Matters for America: Seeking to "systematically monitor [the media] for conservative misinformation" and to discredit anything that "forwards the conservative agenda," this group, which has intimate ties to Hillary Clinton, works very closely with the Soros-backed Center for American Progress. It is heavily funded by Democratic Alliance, of which Soros is a major financier.

Think Progress: This "project" of the American Progress Action Fund, which is a "sister advocacy organization" of the Soros-funded Center for American Progress and Campus Progress, seeks to transform "progressive ideas into policy through rapid response communications, legislative action, grassroots organizing and advocacy, and partnerships with other progressive leaders throughout the country and the world

I commend you, jiberish, for doing your homework on these Hubs. Keep shining the light on Soros, and his connection to Obama. In 2010 and 2012, we're going to make them scatter like cockroaches.

Jiberish, don't get into an argument about Israel. Anyone who knows their bible, knows that Israel, although often at odds with the Lord, still has a very special relationship with Him. In 1968, they defeated three armies, by themselves, in 6 days. In the 80's, they took out Saddam's nuclear plants, and he never even knew they were there. And just a few months ago, they flew deep into Syria and did the same thing--six F-16 fighters, beating the best Russian anti-aircraft technology. God will take care of Israel, and he will also deal with those who go against her. All we have to do is sit back and watch.

Obama said he would negotiate with terrorist, this is what J Street advocates, and this is what caugh my eye: the group could find no moral difference between the actions of Hamas and other Palestinian militants, who have launched more than 5,000 rockets and mortar shells at Israeli civilians in the past three years, and the long-delayed response of Israel, which finally lost patience and responded to the pleas of its battered citizens in the south. “Neither Israelis nor Palestinians have a monopoly on right or wrong,” it said, and it suggested that there was no reason and no way to judge between them: “While there is nothing ‘right’ in raining rockets on Israeli families or dispatching suicide bombers, there is nothing ‘right’ in punishing a million and a half already-suffering Gazans for the actions of the extremists among them."

Dean, thank you for your comments. I steer away from arguements unless I can back them up. Admitedly, I am not that informed about the relationship or lack of, between Israel and Palestine. Will do my homework though! Thank you for visiting.

Dean77 2 years ago

The problem with Israel and the Palestinians, is that there has been no war between them. Never in the history of the world, has peace ever come before the war. You must have the war, then the victor dictates the terms of peace to the loser. But there has to be a victor and a loser. When you do not do this, you end up with years of conflict--just as we've seen for the last forty years. But Israel doesn't need to declare war on the Palestinians, just on their backers--Syria and Iran. Israel needs to hit these country's hard, over and over, with everything they've got, until they both surrender. Iran's about to be hit, and I can't wait. It's going to be really fun to watch. I hope Israel not only takes out Iran's nuclear sites, but every ship, tank, aircraft, and military base--leaving them completely defenseless. Then, and only the, will there be peace.

Good Hub jiberish, I think Israel would have difficulty if it tried to make peace with any group that doesn't recognize Israel's right to exist. When a group states it's goals as "Wiping Israel off the face of the Earth" I think any such group has clearly forfeited any right to negotiate with Israel.

If one has an enemy that refuses to accept your existance it is very difficul to find any common ground for negotiation. Thus any attempt would (by definition) be an exercise in futility.

The facts in your Hub are irrefutable!!!

Dear Jiberish,

Once agin a well researched and compelling Hub. Thank you. As far as Israel is concerned Obama threw them under the bus when he spoke before the U.N. I consider this to be completely disgusting and unacceptable. There is no peace to be made when someone is determined to blow you out of existence. Israel has no friend in Obama or the Palestinians.

Whats makes you think they can be minipulated by the likes of you? I suggest you turn your whistle back towords the your knuckle dragging friends like Dean and the tea baggers. Your deep, sincere, all consuming desire to save Israel from...George Soros and your President. What is your end game? Do you lead half the Israeli Armey into the White House? Dean leads the other half into George Saros' Headquarters? The Nation of Israel is suppose to follow you(and Dean)while you blow your little dog whistles(Obama=Soros=Acorn=Palestinians). Do your Crazy dots even connect in your own head. And another thing, You expect the Israeli People to put their trust into someone with no Allegiance to their country or anything else, except their inventments in the insurance industry. Oh Yea! I bet you didn't even realize when your Deep, Sincere, All Consuming desire to protect Israel suddenly turned into an attack on your First Lady and Health Care here in the United States. When Israel attacks Iran, Obama will not back the Jewish State. Period. He will offer no military support, and no logistical support.

Hey, Jiberish--did you pay attention to friendlyturds terminology? "Knuckle dragger's?" "Backwoods Nuts"? He's doing the exact same thing Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed and the rest of the Democrats have been doing for the past few months--calling people with a different opinion names. It's why the Democrats are losing, Fox News is on top, and Obama can't get his health care, or any other type of legislation, passed. They don't seem to get this, but they will in 2010.

J Street:

J Street is the political arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement.

J Street was founded to promote meaningful American leadership to end the Arab-Israeli and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts peacefully and diplomatically. We support a new direction for American policy in the Middle East and a broad public and policy debate about the U.S. role in the region.

J Street represents Americans, primarily but not exclusively Jewish, who support Israel and its desire for security as the Jewish homeland, as well as the right of the Palestinians to a sovereign state of their own - two states living side-by-side in peace and security. We believe ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is in the best interests of Israel, the United States, the Palestinians, and the region as a whole.

J Street supports diplomatic solutions over military ones, including in Iran; multilateral over unilateral approaches to conflict resolution; and dialogue over confrontation with a wide range of countries and actors when conflicts do arise. For more on our policy positions, click here.

J Street will advocate forcefully in the policy process, in Congress, in the media, and in the Jewish community to make sure public officials and community leaders clearly see the depth and breadth of support for our views on Middle East policy among voters and supporters in their states and districts. We seek to complement the work of existing organizations and individuals that share our agenda. In our lobbying and advocacy efforts, we will enlist individual supporters of other efforts as partners.

J Street is itself a 501(c)(4) organization and is part of the J Street family of organizations, which includes an independent, legally unconnected Political Action Committee, JStreetPAC.

"J Street in the past has been unrealistic, silly, and dishonest. But its treatment of the Gaza crisis is simply contemptible. Are there any limits to the group’s capacity for self-delusion about the nature of Hamas? May we now conclude that J Street is incapable of recognizing when it is staring genocidal fanatics in the face?

It is time that thinking people started calling J Street what it actually is — an anti-Israel group."

Dean77 2 years ago

Ralph, it is mathematically impossible for two people to occupy the same space. The only way it can be done, is for one person to stand on the feet of the other. And when that happens, there is going to be conflict. So what do you do? What do you do when someone stands on your feet? You throw them off. The only way for there to be any kind of peace between Israel and the Palestinians, is for Israel to declare all out war against Hamas, Hezbolla, Iran, and Syria. They need to start with Iran first--destroying all of their offensive, and defensive, weapons; then go after Syria in the same way. Then, when Hamas and Hezbola have lost their allies, thus their means of rearming, Israel needs to go into Gaza and destroy them.

Anyone who believes that the conflict in the Middle East can be settled peacefully, is living in a pipe dream, and not facing reality. The only reason Israel has peace today with Egypt and Jordon, is because Israel defeated them in battle during the six day war. If you want peace, it must be fought for--it is not, nor has it ever been, free.

Ralph Deeds profile image

Ralph Deeds Level 6 Commenter 2 years ago

Peace was achieved with Egypt and Jordan. And I think Syria and Lebanon aren't bothering Israel as far as I know. A settlement between Palestine is important to Israel, Palestine and the United States because the conflict is the major source of anti-U.S. propaganda and support for terrorism in the Middle East.

"J Street in the past has been unrealistic, silly, and dishonest."

Jiberish, there you go again. What are you referring to about which J street has been "unrealistic, silly and dishonest?"

Are you aware that J Street was formed only a year ago?

Dean77 2 years ago

Peace was only achieved between Israel, Egypt, and Jordon, because Israel defeated them in battle. Syria and Iran fund and supply Hamas and Hezbola. If Israel takes out Syria and Iran, it leaves Hamas and Hezbola helpless. That's when Israel destroys them. Then, Israel and the Palestinians can live peace and work things out. The rules of this earth have been in place since the beginning of time--War, is the path to peace. It's just the way it is, the way it always has been, and the way it will be until the good Lord returns.

Dean77 2 years ago

Sorry for getting off the subject of your Hub, jiberish. It's a great Hub, exposing Soros and his plans. He's a real piece of garbage. Thanks for putting in the time and effort to bring this to light.

Other than America (without Obama), Israel is the only country I would proudly put back on the uniform for. If the IDF (Israel Defense Ministry) called me right now and asked me to join their service, I'd be on a plane within 24-hours. Israel and the Palestinian people can live in peace together, they have in the past, but certain entities must be destroyed first before it can happen. And yes, innocents will die--there has never been a war in history where they haven't, but for the cause of peace it must happen.

This from an interview with the Washington Post: to be fair to J street, I wanted to post this:

There is no reason why a pro-Israel lobby can't advocate policies that

promote the best interests of the United States and the American Jewish

community as well. That's why we established J Street.

It's true, J Street is not an "Israel right or wrong" lobby. For us, the

centerpiece of a "pro-Israel" strategy is getting both the US and Israel to engage seriously in the hard diplomacy necessary to reach a negotiated end to Israel's conflicts with its neighbors. An Israel living within defined, internationally recognized borders is a secure Israel - a country that can survive for the long run in a dangerous, unstable neighborhood. Essential to that survival is a strong relationship between Israel and the United States, and a US commitment to helping Israel maintain the qualitative military edge it needs for its security.

A real pro-Israel strategy that ends Israel's conflicts with its neighbors

peacefully would eliminate a prime recruiting tool for Al-Qaeda and other

extremists, not only in the region but around the world - thereby making all Americans safer. The inverse is also true: pursuing military resolution to political problems damages America's standing in the world, undermines its relationships with a broad range of states and in the end makes all Americans - Jews and non-Jews - less secure. As we've already seen, an America that is bogged down militarily in Iraq and less able to either inspire or intimidate in the region and the world is bad news for both America and Israel.

jiberish profile image

jiberish Hub Author 2 years ago

In an interview in the Jerusalem Post last Friday, May 23, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave an answer which can only be interpreted that Israel should not launch a preemptive attack on Iranian nuclear sites, but should only respond after being attacked (and devastated in that nuclear attack), and that because of what a preemptive strike would do to the price of oil. What is your and your organization's position on this point? Would you support a preemptive Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites? Would you support an American one?

You'll get no argument from us that a belligerent, possibly nuclear Iran is a serious threat to Israel and to regional stability, not to mention to American troops stationed in Iraq. The question is how best to address the Iranian threat - since the current US approach clearly isn't working.

What we're doing now is only strengthening Iran's hardliners. Every time the Americans rattle their sabers, Ahmadinejad rallies more Iranians around the flag, distracting attention from his failing economic policies. Rather than see the world in purely black and white terms, a smart and tough foreign policy would recognize that the divisions within Iranian politics are real and that our policies are helping to push those divisions to the back burner while paving Ahmadinejad's path to re-election in next year's presidential elections. Further a sophisticated approach to Iran would recognize that - despite his public profile - Ahmedinejad is not the sole decision maker in Iran and there are other forces on the political scene there that should be engaged.

Worse, our current approach clearly isn't stopping Iran's nuclear program. Despite all the threats and rhetoric, the Iranians have made significant progress toward mastering the nuclear fuel cycle over the past few years and toward producing weapons-grade nuclear material.

Dean77 2 years ago

There is a misconception that Israel may attack Iran's Nuclear sites. Since Iran is still in the stages of developing nuclear weapons, Israel doesn't need to target them; it just needs to target everything else in Iran--its power plants, factories, government buildings, and military installations. Israel also needs to target the damns that help to power the nuclear sites. If Israel can inflict hundreds of billions of dollars of damage on Iran's infrastructure and military, it will put them out of the nuclear business for a very long time.

The J Street political action committee has received tens of thousands of dollars in donations from dozens of Arab and Muslim Americans, as well as from several individuals connected to organizations doing Palestinian and Iranian issues advocacy, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

Additionally, at least two State Department officials connected to Middle East issues have donated to the PAC, which gives money to candidates for US Congress supported by J Street. The organization describes itself as a “pro-Israel, pro-peace” lobby pushing for more American involvement and diplomacy in resolving the Middle East conflict…

Having purchased, rented, or placed a down payment on all the political influence up for sale in America, leftist troublemaker George Soros now plans to ramp up his war on markets worldwide by creating an “Institute for New Economic Thinking” (INET).

Soros said he wants Communist China to run this new financial system. “You really need to bring China into the creation of a new world order, a financial world order,” Soros said.

If that doesn’t send a chill down the spines of freedom lovers in America and elsewhere, nothing will.
